Universiti Malaysia Terengganu STEM Foundation Center (UMT) is the first Foundation Center of its kind to be established in Malaysia. Approved for establishment in May 2017 by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), the STEM Foundation Center has started their first semester with the admission of 68 SPM graduate students for the STEM Foundation program beginning in the June 2018 session.
The goal of this STEM Foundation program is to prepare prospective UMT pre-graduate students
with sufficient knowledge and skills in the field of STEM ie Science, Technology, Engineering (Engineering) and Mathematics to enter the programs STEM-based Bachelor’s degree at UMT.
